Note: With this being the first issue of the Official Map to show Northern Ontario to any extent - it is interesting to note that a traveller coming from southern Ontario could only travel as far as Hearst.  There were no roads in existence to connect southern Ontario to Northwestern Ontario.  The only connections were by rail.  This was also the first map produced to include the name of the Premier of the Province or as they were called then - the Prime Minister of the Province.
