Cover Description:  The cover has a white background with black text.  Four color photographs are featured in a 4" W X 5.25 H area as follows; Toronto Skyline, Elora Mill in Elora, Fall Colors - Algonquin Provincial Park, Winter Trails - Atikokan.  The provinces "1-800" number appears on the cover with ministry names.

In 1997 and 1998 the Ontario Provincial Government transferred ownership of numerous

Provincial Highways to local municipal governments in an effort to economize and

and create a more efficient means to maintain the roads at a local level.  As a result

a large scale renumbering project was undertaken and a great deal of confusion

was created for the traveling public.
