Note: 1925 was the first year
that a road map was produced by Imperial. Only regional maps were
produced up until 1946. Rolph-Clark-Stone produced their maps from
at least 1929 to 1933 and included an Ontario (plus Eastern, Prairie, and
Western Canada) maps. 1930 and 1931 saw production of "Ontario and
Adjacent States" maps. In 1932 there were six "Sectional Maps"
produced. General Drafting started the Canadian maps in
1933 with an Eastern Canada only (which included Ontario). From 1933
to 1938 they covered Canada with just Eastern and Western maps. In
1939 they added Central Canada for a 3 title set, until 1941.
Imperial Esso maps were not published from 1942 to 1945. In 1946 the
first Ontario map was produced in a set which at first included one map of
all of Canada, then one of Newfoundland, and finally settled to the
"standard" 5 province titles until General Drafting stopped in 1975.
