AAA 001
AAA 002

The American Automobile Association was formed in 1902 in Chicago in response to a lack of roads and highways suitable for the use of automobiles.  Nine clubs with a total of 1500 members united together to form the 'Triple A'.  In 1904 the American Motor League joined and the organization continued to grow promoting through interaction with governments and the public, vehicle and pedestrian safety, driver education and providing travelers with aids to make the journey more enjoyable.  This included maps, which were first published in 1905. Today the AAA consists of 69 individual clubs all under the AAA banner.
Maps with years in red are not in my collection - scans of covers have been provided by other collectors.
